Customisable questions

Employment background checks can be tailored to your needs. The default employment check includes four verification questions to ensure your candidate has the experience they claim to have. The rest is up to you, choose a question set type and customise around your hiring needs. 

If culture is at the heart of your hiring, use our culture-add reference questions. But if you’re interested in how suited your candidate is to remote work Zinc has question sets for those as well. 

Zinc’s expert-designed reference questions are designed so they can be used straight away as they are. However if you want some more control over your checks you can edit the questions, and add or delete questions so that your checks focus on what is important to you.

Background checks without the hassle

With Zinc, your reference checks are one less thing for you to worry about when hiring. Once you’ve set up your questions, Workable makes it easy for you to perform checks.  From the candidate’s page, simply select ‘perform a background check’ from drop-down menu then choose the kind of check you’d like to perform. 

Zinc will do the rest, including chasing candidates and referees to complete the checks and sending you notifications when they are ready for you to view.

Compliant and secure

Zinc background checks are recorded on a blockchain so you can be certain that the checks are verified and trustworthy. All the checks we collect are stored on the candidate’s unique shareable profile. You will get access to the checks for 30 days and from then the candidate controls who sees their references. 

The benefits of blockchain-backed checks are twofold. Firstly, it means your background checks are fully GDPR-compliant and you’ll no longer need to worry about storing your candidates personal check data. Secondly, you’ll improve your candidate experience by gifting them with their data in their own profile. Regardless of the outcome of the interview, your candidate will have a tangible benefit from the background checking process.
